BORUTO: WILL NARUTO’S SON PAY THE PRICE OF THE NEGLIGENCE OF HIS LOVED ONES?

 When it was revealed that Boruto’s mark was Karma cursed seal which was imprinted on him by the sinister Momoshiki, the fans were shocked. The mark was left in a manner that allows Momoshiki to possess Boruto. He expected to be reborn someday using the young shinobi’s body in a second attempt to take Earth. Naruto’s science team has achieved a lot in the past but surprisingly they have failed to help Boruto. Considering how well they have done in the past, it won’t be wrong to expect them to address his Karma Mark but unfortunately, it has not yet happened. 

Naruto’s scientific team has put Konoha on a path of technological advancement. It has transformed the medical and transport systems, which has even inspired some of the old shinobi to use science tools. Katasuke even built a prosthetic arm for Naruto which can mimic Momoshiki’s jutsu-absorption. However, despite all these scientific advancements they are yet to fix Boruto’s mark. They should have started studying it much earlier. It’s suspicious at the very least and most probably has something to do with Momoshiki. 

Surprisingly, Boruto is allowed to put his life on the line and fight other enemies even though he might be a danger for and his team members. Despite being ignorant about the nature of Boruto’s mark, the leaders of Konoha are surprisingly lackadaisical. They put in little to no effort to ensure that he is protected from the impending threat. 

The laid-back approach of Konoha is surprising considering they have been ignoring huge threats that can eventually become an existential threat for the village. It was this lack of intent to do something about the impending doom that allowed Orochimaru to mark Sasuke. It was also one of the key reasons that let Kurama corrupt Naruto. Boruto should not have been allowed to roam freely when everyone knew that he was vulnerable. Even Kara’s agents might have used this opportunity to attack him or use him to their advantage.

Interestingly, Shikamaru, Naruto’s advisor as well as Hinata, Boruto’s mother never raised any points of contention. Sasuke, who is well aware of the danger of the mark chose to ignore it even though he knows that it randomly activates any time. It is quite odd, and even Boruto ponders what the mark could do while he was fighting Naruto. They are his mentors and family members but even though they know it’s affecting his power they still prefer to do nothing about it or prevent any future life-threatening future incident.

The negligence of Boruto’s parents and his loved ones could have backfired anytime. If it had happened in the heat of the sparring session, he might even have killed his father in battle. He could have even turned on his village and family. Hopefully, now his loved ones will understand the gravity of their mistakes and make amends. It is high time that the leaders use the technological advancements of the village to help Boruto.
