NARUTO: CHARACTERS WHO DID NOT GET THE LIMELIGHT THEY DESERVE AND SHOULD BE GIVEN THEIR OWN SPIN OFF SERIES

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has recently started getting better with the comeback of Masashi Kishimoto. It appears that the anime and manga both are finally gaining momentum, and the fans can expect great things in the future. The famous manga artist, Kishimoto deserves a lot of credit for this. He is responsible for one of the greatest Shonen series in history. Naruto’s success can be attributed to many factors, and one of the most important factors of them is its character development. Kishimoto created several super-interesting characters that unfortunately never got the screen time that they deserved.

Although Naruto did give us some of the best heroes and villains some characters left viewers wondering what they could have possibly been if they had been given the right opportunity. Today we look at some of these characters to get to know why they deserve not just more screen time but an entire series for themselves.

 Hiruzen Sarutobi

The Third Hokage of Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi is responsible for training three kids who went on to become the Three Legendary Sannin. Although one can argue that Sarutobi’s story will be nothing more than just another Hokage journey but that is not entirely true. He is regarded as one of the most powerful shinobi of his generation and it would be a great opportunity to explore his struggle that made him such a respected and loved hero. Sarutobi’s spinoff series will tell the fans how he ended up becoming Hokage and what were his motivations in his early days.

Although it was Tobirama, the Second Hokage who selected him for the lofty position that he eventually inherited but the series can answer what the reasons were that led Tobirama to believe that Sarutobi is the right person for the role. Since he had mastered the five chakra natures it would be interesting to see what he could do with it. So, Hiruzen Sarutobi’s rise as the Hokage will be a great way of knowing what he went to through to get there and how well he played his part in making his village a better place.

Jiraiya

Funny, deceptively smart, and charismatic, Jiraiya has all the qualities of a typical Shonen protagonist. Many fans were truly disappointed that they never got to see more of him in Naruto so a spinoff series will be an interesting way of exploring his past life and his struggles. There are millions of fans who love Jiraiya and they would be excited to see one of their heroes in action again. Since he is such an animated personality, Jiraiya’s spinoff series will be imbued with comedy. Moreover, the fighting scenes will also be epic. There will be romance as well since the series can explore the love dynamic between Tsunade and Jiraiya.

Shisui Uchiha

All Naruto fans will agree that Shisui Uchiha one of the most talented and memorable characters in the series whose potential was wasted by the creators. He was a great fighter who had mastered the body flicker technique and can move at high-speed. He would disappear with the help of his agile and quick movements without leaving a trace. It would be great to watch this warrior from the Uchiha clan get the attention and respect that he deserves in a spinoff series with him as the protagonist.

Shisui had also mastered Kotoamatsukami, a powerful jutsu that subtly manipulates the judgment of his adversaries, making them ignorant of their actions and decisions. Unfortunately, the viewers never got to see Shisui use his jutsu in action, so there is a great opportunity to explore some of his powerful techniques and his dark past. If the spinoff series is made, Naruto fans will get to see another super-interesting character back in action. Itachi Uchiha, the fan-favorite would play a big part in Shisui’s spinoff which will make it even more entertaining and interesting.

Sakumo Hatake

One of the few characters on Naruto whose fame rivaled that of the Legendary Sannin. Since he never got the screen time that he deserves, there is a lot of mystery surrounding his character. So, he is an ideal character for a spinoff series. The interesting thing about characters like Sakumo is that they manage to become popular somehow despite the lack of spotlight. It shows that the viewers love to watch them despite knowing little about them. If the spinoff is ever made, the sacrifice will most likely be one of its main themes. Naruto fans are well aware of his ultimate sacrifice, so it would be interesting to see his past getting explored.

Minato Namikaze

Naruto fans already have a series of him as the protagonist. Then Boruto was released, now to complete the trilogy it would be perfect to have a spinoff series with Minato, Naruto’s father as the protagonist. He was the Fourth Hokage and lived a very interesting life. His son went on to become one of the strongest shinobi the world has ever seen. So, there is a lot of things that the spinoff could cover. The fans will get to know a lot about Naruto’s family and it will help them appreciate their favorite character more. Among all the characters listed so far, a spinoff series on Minato makes the most sense.

All of the characters named above are super-interesting. They had unique struggles but unfortunately never got the screen time that they deserved. If they get a spinoff series, it will be a great opportunity for the fans to get to know their favorite characters better. Since all of them are loved by the Naruto fandom, the spinoffs will be profitable for the producers as well.
