SPACEX PLANS TO PROVIDE 10GBPS STARLINK DOWNLOAD SPEEDS IN THE FUTURE

SpaceX is targeting to make Starlink capable of providing up to 10Gbps internet download speeds with a below-average latency. The organization’s plan comprises improving the quality, reliability, and availability; it also includes ramp up Starlink satellites’ production and deployment every month. The Starlink beta program’s user base is expanding in a rapid manner, as has the number of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites launched successfully.

Starlink has about a thousand satellites that float in low Earth orbit. Each and every satellite helps and brings the company one step closer to its aim of delivering quick and reliable internet service worldwide, even in places where it’s challenging to find any network coverage available. The previous results of the Starlink beta’s internet speeds were looking promising enough. Still, SpaceX is hoping to provide internet speeds, which will be way more efficient than the current internet service providers are offering.

SpaceX Enhancing Quality Of Internet Satellites

On the basis of Presentation slides posted in a Tweet by Michael Sheetz, Elon Musk’s company SpaceX is planning to raise Starlink’s current 100Mbps speed to an absolutely fast 10gbps  in the near future. It is also aiming for a lower than 30ms latency as the standard for Starlinks users. In addition to improving Starlink’s performance and speed. SpaceX is also focusing on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and consistency in quality, with plans for the generation and deployment of 120 more satellites monthly.

Meaning Of Starlink’s Goals

You have to spend a lot of money to become a Starlink user, as signing up for its beta program requires at least 500$, plus an additional $99 per month charges. That’s quite a steep price when taken in comparison with other internet service providers around the world. However, from worldwide network coverage to its aim to deliver 10Gbps speeds, Starlink provides genuinely extraordinary service. That 10Gbps internet speed is ten times more than the standard capability of most ISPs.

In the year 2020, a Starlink beta testing operation was feasible to receive over 120Mbps, in an isolated location with virtually zero reception. Some other Starlink beta testing operations have also offered similar speed test outcomes in the past, with an efficient performance matching to broadband connections and latency that’s almost adequate for effective gaming. Obviously, the outcomes weren’t perfect every time, and several beta testers have reported, but also, they were not persistent either. When there are certain things that need improvement, SpaceX’s future plans deliver users with a reliable and clear vision of ideal service might be capable of in the coming future. Including the goal to enhance the speed, latency, reliability, and accessibility might only be a matter of time and situations before Starlink achieves the capability to take internet connections to extraordinary heights.

SpaceX and its unbelievable plans for the future of technology and the internet is the key to its successful years of excellence as an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company. It’s not too far for us to experience the 10Gbps internet speeds while using our digital equipment.
